Alyssa Bruce soc macdonadization Essay Example

Alyssa Bruce soc macdonadization Paper My first read over this hand out was a little hard, I had to re-read it multiple times to understand the different concepts, and to comprehend it. I feel like I have not lived long enough to feel the effects or even realize how I impact the world on a larger scale. I have heard people say that being in your asss is all about being selfish. You are pushed into trying to decide what to do with the rest of your life and pray that it makes you happy. So as a 21 year old who solely supports myself, I am just that, focused on work and school. As this adding states a lot of people are very focused in on themselves. Only when we are not so concerned about us and our lives can we see how we effect the world, or how the world affects us. I can definitely relate to the fact that am in my own private orb and I only let a small amount of things into my orb that I care about. The connection between our community, our society, and our America are all something that think most Americans truly care about. When we are not an important figure with in our society, we tend to forget that we may still have an impact on our America. So the fact that because a majority of America is makeup of the middle class, we forget about the fact that we are relevant as a whole. All the middle classes make up communities, which make up states, which in turn make up America. We are not celebrities, or apart of the one percent, we are just middle class. We can relate to each other and rally behind others who work hard to achieve their dream. Because of this we have such a bigger impact on he world then I think we believe. The sociological imagination is something that I think a lot of people cant and dont want to understand. Most lower middle class families are only focused on one thing, and that is there family. I defiantly feel like it takes a community to raise a child, and when different children are brought up in different social classes they are shaped by that community. It take a certain type of person to care enough to have a social imagination, someone who not only cares about their family and community but also their impact on history. We read articles in the paper about war, heart break. We watch accounts of horrible stories and other sociological problems on the news. Most Of the time we dont relate it back to ourselves. We never imagine bad things happening to us, and then when we do, all we think about is us. Why me, why my family, we forget that things that have happened to us is happening all over the world. We may experience it in different ways, in which society had prepared us to deal with it, but we sometimes still forget that that we are not the only ones dealing with it.

EXEGETICAL PAPER FOR THE APOLSTLE PAUL Coursework

EXEGETICAL PAPER FOR THE APOLSTLE PAUL - Coursework Example The baseline of the paper is on the premise that God is using the saving grace to salvage the human race through Jesus Christ. The first theme that comes out clearly is the position of the Jews in God. Essentially, the first verse of the Scripture presents a question of whether God has rejected his people. It is quite clear from Paul’s perspective that the rejection facing the people of Israel is not universal. From this portion of Scripture, Paul makes it clear that the people of Israel have several misgivings. However, Paul continues to assert that these misgivings do not warrant their total rejection. Paul further confirms that there is a remnant, a people who God will use for restoration (Murray). As a Jew, Paul considers himself as one of the remnants who will proclaim the goodness of the Lord and His glorious role of the Gospel in the world. The second theme that comes out clearly regards God overruling the Jewish unbelief for making the Gentiles partakers of the privileges that come with the Gospel. From verse 11 up to 21, Paul uses the analogy of ingrafted branches. Paul confirms the restoration of the Jews from this portion of Scripture (Murray). That is, through their fall, the Jews shall get restoration. Through their fall and suffering, the Jews will come to appreciate and acknowledge the saving grace that is in Jesus Christ. The third theme is on jealousy pride and unbelief. Apostle Paul writes from the 22nd verse up to the 32nd verse on this subject. Paul reckons that due to their disbelief, the Jews have become enemies of God. However, the role of their fathers and the divine promises made to their fathers makes God not to relent on favoring them. Those Jews who will eventually come to understand the saving grace of Jesus Christ should endeavor to share it with others. Romans chapter 11 is a build up from chapter 10. Essentially, the previous chapter questions Israel’s unbelief and Paul’s quest to ensure that the

Organisation management Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words - 1

Organisation management - Essay Example age because the enterprise cannot act quickly â€Å"on opportunities that arise in a fast-paced business landscape, nor is it able to make productive decisions about how to change in order to seize these opportunities† (Kotter 2011). It renders an organisation less competitive because the organization is burden with bureaucracy and non-cooperation. To be able to detect silos, managers must be quick to recognize its symptoms so that it can be stopped early. Once silos have grown to point of an â€Å"empire† in an organization, it would be extremely difficult to arrest them. The first telling sign is the existence of projects in other departments or divisions or even groups without management knowing them. It is like that some groups in the organization have a life of its own. Second is the management’s lack of touch with the organization. Silos are often a product of non communication from management. Lastly, when certain groups or departments are being left out be it with information or project, the defense mechanism of such groups or departments is to hoard information and services and thus, the creation of a silo. Silos are basically founded on distrust in an organization (Burdett nd). To tear down or remove silos in an organisation, Stone advised to reward cooperative behavior among employees. Encourage innovation which silos stunt and create a culture of collaboration. Responsibilities must also be clarified so that finding opportunities in cross functional initiatives would be easier (2004). This would reinforce and promote a culture of cooperation and trust in an organization which prevents silos. Conflicts, which silos thrive can also be prevented by clarifying responsibilities so that there is no overlap of functions that makes cooperation easy. Kotter also advised that departments in an organization share data so that none is left out and no one also can hostage the organization for possessing certain data. Cooperation must also be
